Greens show last night

The Greens played at 6 Pence Pub in Parkersburg last night. I was kinda disappointed in the size of the crowd, but the folks who were there made up for volume of fans with enthusiasm. The Greens started off with an acoustic set; showcasing Ben's new bass guitar. This was a set with "Mercy" LIttle Warrior, Sleepyhead, among the songs. Then it was on to electric- Ben and Andy switching out to electric's. Truckstop Religion was requested and a song that hasn't been on the set lists lately. This was a night of all original songs- 4 hours of music. Country Maestro was especially inspired, and got some very excited awe-laden reaction. The Greens, having not been in Parkersburg much, were comfortable in the confines of the familiar place, and gave a great show despite a discouraging turnout. I'm not sure we'll have them in Parkersburg again until our (Children's Home Society) Outdoor Music Festival on JUne 12th. I know they go over further into Pennsylvania next weekend, and some other jaunts. There will likely be a break after the June 12th show for a while; as Andy and Brandy are going out west for a few weeks, and band members reunite out in California for Aaron Phillips wedding at the end of June. So then we'll see what the summer brings for the Greens- some festivals and travels for show!
