Songwriter event in Marietta June 7th

If you go to the website, www.songwriternight.com there is now some information about time slots and who is participating in the contest, and showcases that day. This is nice to begin to see who all is participating. It promises to be a great event for the mid Ohio Valley live music scene. Come out and stay all day and evening! This day culminates with a chance to see Jason Wilber, who is a great singer songwriter with a solid collection of songs and CD's. He has a very fine voice, stellar guitar work, a wry sense of humor, and a great way of capturing the human experience in lyrics. And besides ALL THAT, he is an unbelievably talented part of John Prine's touring band, adding so much to so many of John's songs with his guitar work, his harmonica, and mandolin.
I have two "favorites" in the songwriting contests, (regular readers can probably guess:) Andy Tuck, and then I am excited Kathleen Coffee is coming up for these events, based on Andi Roberts et al's encouragement and connecting her to Todd, when she was up for the show at my coffee house a few months ago.
