Todd Snider's you tube Dock Ellis song

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sugCwMxwPRk

This link should take you to a very nice little rendition of Todd Snider sitting in a hotel room performing his song "america's favorite past time"- his song about Dock Ellis of the Pittsburgh Pirates throwing a no hitter while on LSD. Todd is performing it for Don Was, of Was (Was not), who is enjoying it. This is yet another excellent example of Todd's ability to write a killer song about something in the American culture experience of a quirky nature. Like DB Cooper, the song about the guy who hijacked a plane out on the west coast, and parachuted out of the plane with the money. Or Phil Ochs, getting kicked out of the limosine that Bob Dylan was riding in, because he criticized a new song Bob was working on. Or Mike Tyson's "main man's" last request. That kinda stuff.
