Billy the Bum

The old song John Prine pulled out the other night was "Billy the Bum"- I'll do some further searching to see what album it is from. The name is quite obvious, but you never know...... there is an interesting reference to him being like a fluroscent light; which probably puts it in a certain era of lyric content. Its definitely in there with the solid body of work about little stories of down and outers of society.
