The Greens at the Front Row this Friday

The stage at the Front Row will barely have a chance to "cool down" from Jason Ricci's show Thursday night, before the Greens bring their high energy and diverse styles of music within 24 hours of Jason's leaving the stage. They will undoubtedly gather a raccous, fun loving group of enthusiastic fans to dance the night away, and shout out requests, and be swept up in the satisfying emotion of digging the Greens music, through several hours of waves of musical wizardry and hi-jinx. It is fun to re-connect with the Greens fan-dom every few weeks in this way, as friendships and connections keep getting stronger and more solid, with each passing month of enjoying the Greens sound. Its kind of a contradiction in terms, but 1) you can always count on a diverse and varied show from one time to the next- the song selection meanders through different veins; and 2) you can always count on the comfortableness and familiarity of the Greens sound to leave you contented and satisfied at the end of the evening (or early morning as it were.) It is very nice to watch them perform enough to follow how the newer songs get worked into the set lists and become "mainstays." And then to experience them pulling an older song out of their pockets and causing the excited reaction of recognition among the loyal listeners. Hope to see you there, Friday night the 30th at the Front Row in Parkersburg.
