tuck's music journal

I write about local music stuff in West Virginia and nearby Ohio. I post lots of information about the Greens and musical benefit events I organize for my non profit organization. Americana music focused.

feel like i been gone a while.........

Phfew, I feel a little out of touch. Sorry to miss the Larry Neely show last night at the Front Row, I would have liked to hear Susan sing, since Steve and Susan are such enthusiastic music lovers, and we see them mostly at Greens shows, I wanted to get out and support her music, too!
Well, sometimes you got to be decisive. Tom Waits tickets for a show in June in Columbus went on sale yesterday and are already sold out. It didn't pay to ponder that one for a day.
Heading over to Nelsonville in a little while to take in the afternoon and evening at the Music Festival.
Tomorrow will start the countdown to the Bob Dylan tribute; I will start finalizing details with the musicians, and the venue and sound. We'll see what kind of flyers we can get up around town during this week lead up time to Saturday night.
Was mostly listening to John C. Fogerty while driving back and forth across the state Wed. and Fri. An interesting mix of old and newer songs.
The Greens seem to be playing during the day at a Festival up in Pittsburgh. It says 12 noon, but that could just be the opening time. If they were in town last night for a private party, we didn't get a chance to talk to Andy; probably on a whirlwind trip. Next Friday they will be at the Marietta Brewing Company, for what is always a nice venue/ show for them.
