Six Pence Pub- Cinco de Mayo

Andy had a solo show at Six Pence last night - a rare MOnday night appearance in Parkersburg for the hard workin' fella. It was a pretty small crowd, I guess not what was expected for a "beer drinking" holiday (such as St. Patrick's Day etc.)

Set list (for the first set)
Little Warrior
Forlorn Blues
Apple Pie
Come on Back to Me
What's so great about the Great Depression? (new song)
On an average night (new song)
Vacuum Blues
Down
Anon
Ring of Fire
When Things Go Wrong
Dark Hollow
Drag Yourself (through the day)
Oily Rags
Big Ol' Betsy
Chinaski
Barbara and Joseph (apologies for the name- the truck driver murder ballad........)
Homeless Melodies
Animal Song
Its Not Enough

break

Andy called me up to sing our usual duet/ harmonies; a goodly amount of John Prine songs, some Bob Dylan songs, some The Band songs, Friend of the Devil, and we sang two of Andy's (an encore of Apple Pie, and Feeling Low Down on High Street)

Andy did Truckstop Religion in his last set; complete with bottleneck slide. He did a couple more brand new songs then too to finish things up.

Danny reports he's moving to Morgantown (in advance of the whole band ending up there, for more focused promoting, rehearsing, creating, etc.) Good to see Lyndsey out on a MOnday evening. Andy's finishing up college classes this week, and getting back into the yard work and construction pretty hot and heavy.
Some good solid guitar and harmonica work tonight by Andy, and plenty of enthusiasm for his songs to make an appreciative audience satisfied.
