tuck's music journal

I write about local music stuff in West Virginia and nearby Ohio. I post lots of information about the Greens and musical benefit events I organize for my non profit organization. Americana music focused.

traveling music yesterday

I listened to some Townes Van Zandt, John Hiatt, Todd Snider, yesterday driving around the state in the first flurries of snow.

Going to see Todd Snider Thursday night in Nashville as he opens for Robert Earl Keen. I'm also a johnny-come-lately TVZ listener. Picked up copies of Old Quarter, Gentle Evening with TVZ from Carnegie Hall, and A Far Cry From Dead - all within the last 2 weeks. These now supplement the handful of boots I had of him solo or with Guy Clark. What a gifted writer with a gentle voice who lived in a dark, dark place.
